Google Summer of Code Introduces University Students in Malaysia
to Open Source Software Development Around the World

Google accepting student applications from now until April 3
Previous Malaysian student participant is now a mentor in this year’s program

Kuala Lumpur, March 24, 2009 – Google today announced the opening of the application period for university students who wish to participate in the Google Summer of Code™ 2009 program. Google is working with 150 mentoring organizations and will fund approximately 1,000 student projects in 2009, the fifth year of this program. Student applications will be accepted until April 3, 2009. Students who wish to join the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) should visit for more information.     It is great to read that Malaysia is hosting the google summer of code this year.

    Malaysia is doing a great job of working hard to host important and useful events.
