HITB Security Conference 2008 – Malaysia. The 6th to be held in Malaysia in the Hack In The Box deep knowledge security conference series presents you triple track security conference with the introduction of  a new track, “HITB Labs”, 4 tracks of hands-on technical training sessions, 4 keynote speakers, CTF live-hacking competition and several other programmes that are open to public.

The HITBSecConf2008 – Malaysia features Lock Picking Village to be conducted by The Open Organization of Lockpickers (TOOOL) USA, Wireless Village of 802.11, RFID, Bluetooth similar to the one in DEFCON. There will be also the Open Hack competition of the latest line of MacBook and the exploits are to be auctioned by WabiSabiLabi, the exploit marketplace.

One of the keynotes is the first-ever presentation by The Pirate Bay founders, Peter Sunde [brokep] and Fredrik Neij [TiAMO] and it is to be broadcasted live for the IDG Sweden network of sites. The HITBSecConf2008 – Malaysia training tracks and security conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur from the 27th to 30th of October 2008. Registration price is at RM 899 before online registration closes which then be elevated RM 1099. Students will enjoy discounted price of RM 250 which you need to have proof of your academic status upon check in on-site.
